Director of Platform Engineering

Full-Time in San Francisco Bay Area, CA - Remote OK

About the Role:

We are in early stages of building our core product and offerings. You will have a tremendous opportunity to shape the engineering organization from the ground up. We are changing the way the government operates and interacts with its constituents. This is a unique opportunity in a fast-growing startup that is poised to become the next unicorn.

You Will:

  • Be responsible for executing and managing the platform roadmap
  • Work with the CTO and head of product to build out the platform roadmap
  • Build out the engineering practices that support an effective, collaborative organization
  • Run engineering processes likes design reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups
  • Manage a team of highly-motivated engineers, ensuring team members are growing and productive
  • Mentor team members to make excellent, data-driven technical decisions
  • Report to the CTO and collaborate across the organization to ensure technical execution achieves desired outcomes

You Have:

  • 7+ years of strong software development experience building consumer facing applications
  • 4+ years of experience managing software development projects and teams
  • Experience working across the tech stack
  • A drive to build software and an engineering community that promotes equity and accessibility
